laying bermuda sod big rolls

Here's an idea tell me if u think it will work... I have 6000 sq ft to lay this week. Back and front yard total... small gate where.I can't get equipement in unless I take down part of fence. Which I got the OK to... id like to lay big rolls as 6000 ft is 14 pallets of small rolls and for 2 guys that's a lot.... I don't have a machine to lay big rolls but what if I use a skid steer, put the roll on a pallet. Then cut the roll down to the core, slide off the sod next to where it needs laid.... the sod will have plastic... my supplier said he does not think it will work cause this tine of year its dormant and.root structure isn't the best... said it will want.to fall apart and.just b a mess.... he wants to do the job himself with his laydown machine.... rental place has no attachment either for sod BTW...

our mini rolls are 10 SF each for reference, but ive done 4400 SF in a short day in the rain with two laborers. prepped the day before. you should be fine if you get an extra guy or do it in two days. either that or sub it to the sod guy and make money on the handshake without getting your hands dirty

Have any of you laid big rolls and.cut them down to drag.and lay? I'm thinking the idea of putting it on a pallet, cutting down, and moving skid steer with pallet as needed may go pretty fast. Faster than laying little rolls??? Ours are 10sqft to.
