those heads may take less time per time to reload, but keep in mind, you're loading them 6 inches of line at a time, so that time adds up over the 15-20 feet you would normally load on a bump or speed feed head. you also will have more waste. I don't know about you, but once I use up the first half/two thirds of the line, I have to bump more out to get what I want from the line. that means 4-6 inches wasted per loading of 6" lengths (2 per loading). times 15 feet is 60-90 inches wasted over the course of 15 feet, or 80-120 over 20 feet. the time adds up, too, because you have to keep stopping to reload the head.

That's true, even if it weren't slower, one length at a time is not an efficient use of string.
