Well winters here are not that bad like i said but last year was pretty bad. we hit -50 for a few days. (Wind chill) but it lasted a few days. I know Michigan is just about the same or a bit colder. As far as the bags yea they are a little different. But like i said i realy dont know if its true or not. I will do some Research. The thing that i noticed that qpt becomes brittle or burned if you heated to fast to hot. So we always run about 8-10 psi on our torches.

i reeeely wanted a free melter, but i could not find that deal in my area. iam very happy with durafill hs
and iam allways in a hurry & sometimes get my rubber a little hot so i think i will have to pass on qpt. plus i use those shrouded pour pots, they heat up fast & get hot. i sometimes reheat also. sounds like it might work out for some, but not for me. thanks for all ihe info.
