Fixed Deck Stand On Units -- HOC Adjustment ??

For those LCO's here on LS that have a fixed deck stand on unit ... since they are so heavy and not balanced for easy lifting of the front end like a WB to change the front caster spacers for height of cut adjustment ... my question is this, what method or technique do you use to raise the front end when you are out in the field in order to change the HOC ??

Drive up the ramp gate, drive over a curb. If you have a wright you can carry a jack stand with you and do a wheelie. It takes practice. When I had mine I could set the jack in front and to the right and pop it up there.

My cousin uses ramp gate for his Wright. Pull up right side of ramp with left front on & right wheel hangin off side. Pull up left side with right wheel on ramp & left hangin off.

Most do, you can still get base model Wrights that don;t have the RH adjustment. Also my Sentar still has shims on the front casters to adjust the level of the deck.

Thanks for the replies ... that's basically what I do, is drive up one side of the ramp to change the spacers ... I just wondered if I was missing something that others may be doing !!

It's just that it 's a bit of a hassle when you have a property that needs to be cut at slightly different heights ... you know, to have to go all the way back to the trailer just to change the HOC ... oh well, it is what it is.
