First you have to ask yourself, are you buying a list or are you buying a business. Are you expanding your area and services or are you just making yours more dense. What do you expect the profit might be ?

Every situation is different and so there isn't a magical number in my mind.

Would I pay 10,000 for a list of 150 names and prices...nope.

Would I pay 100,000 to buy out a company, buy out a competitor, increase my revenue while keeping similar overhead by filling in my routes, while making my current advertising more effective because I'm the only guy in town, gaining another website, buying out the guy who has long term clients that just can't do it anymore, buy out a guy that gives poor service while we provide the best and look like super stars .... Yes in a heart beat

If I had to sell my business I would ask for no less than 75% gross sales, plus current value for assets
