Not now, but when they first new of the problem. They were having problems the first year.

I can't see why Ford can't get together with another engine manufacture for thier engines. There's cat, cummins, deere.... I'm sure there are others.

Cat quit making onroad diesels, however now that they have an on road truck they put there engines in that. Cummins has dodge and I dont see them splitting anytime soon. International was a good combination with ford, but they rushed the 6.0 and 6.4 into production because of new emissions standards instead of ford testing the engine they used the people who bought the trucks as a guinie pig. As for the guy who said people who hear stories about the engine just say it because of the stories, all you have to do is read powerstroke.org and people who are die hard ford supportes admit that there trucks have major issues... Whats really hard to understand is how cummins and duramax can put engines in trucks and not have as many or as serious problems as ford has had. Not to mention ford didnt take a bail out, they dont have to when they ripped people off, worth hundreds of millions worth of dollars in failed and bs warranty claims. Things that should have been recalled or bought back... I love ford trucks but there 5.4 litre was underpowered and there diesels are unrealiable. I havent tried the 6.2 gasser yet but who knows.

I said it...ya you can read all the horror stories. Im not saying that they didnt make a shitty product from 03 to 07. Im saying that the later year 6.0 were better. I would put my 06 up against any comparable truck anyday. I have plenty of confidence in my truck. I feel sorry for the guys who had major issues and came out of pocket. Bs really. Im not going to argue about this topic as it always turns out the same way. Im on the org and ps nation and it gets beat to death. You will have the supporters and the haters. All bias and opinion based.

I agree that the 06 and 07 were better. It is a shame that people pay big money for a truck and then are forced to pay out of pocket. Like I said I like ford trucks but the engines not so much...

6.0

Listen to those who say it is a good truck. But it helps to have $11,000 in your pocket for repairs when you do. Didn't even take it home after the last repair (all big dollar repairs by the way). Drove it to the lot and traded it off. Actually got a good trade in. Everything new but the body!!

I was close to buying a 6.0 a couple times. But everytime I would so research I would always run into horror stories. I'm pissed that the new diesels that they are making dmax, pstroke and cummins are all so danm quiet. the new 2012 diesels, u can sit next to one and not even know it running. i hate that crap. i thought the 2008 diesels were quiet when my dad bought one, but man these 2012 ones are as quiet as a gas engine. pitiful
