I started painting mine out side, finished the roof and its Decient. I used acrilic enamel and added hardner of "catalist" it dries almost immediately. I bought my paint from Orileeys auto parts, it was about 50$ per qt. I have some other projects and will likley buy my paint from these people.

I would have bought my truck paint from them, but they dont mix colors and I didnt see a real good match.

Newer paints are not reduced like they used to be, with a HLVP gun theres not much overspray, or smell for that matter. Ive still have a learning curve. Painting outside is not a crime that I know of.

Back in the 80's I would buy old cars from auctions and paint them out in the pasture. Picked calm days and would get good results. I would say good for what I needed. True use an enamel, but I would stick with the same color. Painting door jams and all is a pain.

The cool thing about acrilic enamel is there is now a clear coat you can use. I may buff out my paint and hit it with clear.
