Local HD has one in stock, seriously considering it. Thoughts?
$1,049 is pretty steep for 5x10 but I guess it depends on locations, home depot is same everywhere a local deal would be saving a couple hundred near me

I have a 5x12 because I can't fit anything wider into my garage. That limits me to 52 or 54" mowers but for residential its perfect. I dont have trouble parking a 5x12 and the trailer tracks really well behind my full size pickup. If the truck can clear whatever your driving by the trailer will clear (except for very tight turns). I think the 5x10 will serve you well.

Well just found a 6.5x12 for 1050 an hour or so away from where i live. It's looking pretty good. A 10' is fine but for $1050, an a-frame 12' would be really great.

That hour drive would be well worth it for the 12' I personally hate the 5' but we got it over 10yrs ago 52'' is as large as you can get on it. Think ahead for future mowers

Well a friend of mine had a custom built 6.5'x16' single axel for $1250. I'm going to call the guy and see about a 10' or 12' and how much he would charge for that. He is in the same town as the 12' for $1050 which still is not all that bad of a price.

Good move. When I had one custom made, I had him install a raised bar on the front trailer rail that was even with the top of the back gate. That way if you want to haul something longer than the length of the trailer, you can strap it to the top bars., ie deck boards, canoes, etc. Only was an extra $25. Plus in PA, we don't pay sales tax on custom made trailers since tax has already been paid on the materials, just need to show the receipts to the DOT
