And I did pretty much the same thing with my girls.
Today I listened to audio from a camera or phone. It was taken at one of the elementary schools as the tornado was approaching. Evidently they were evacuating the older kids and the younger kids were sent to the basement. The sound of chaos, crying, yelling, and fear chilled me.
On another program I heard that volunteers from Joplin were heading to Moore to help out. I'm sure there will be a need for heavy equipment in the coming days as rescue turns to recovery and clean-up. I imagine it will affect those cleaning this up as they find things mixed with the debris.
