Drive

I am extending my dive way out to what is my shop now. The future plans are to build a 28x34 attached to my existing building. For now I would like to extend the drive and put a parking pad for the truck and trailer F250 and 18' enclosed. I cleared the drive and pad yesterday and this week would like to get down some rock or base material. I was going to frame the area with 2x6 to hold the base in and not let it drift clean lines.
What is the best rock type product to use and have a neat look to it?

In georgia most driveway material is from granite. Do a base of crush and run compacted and then add 57 stone over the top for a real nice look. If you have a source for slate it works reallwell for drive ways but expensive.
