Had a roof put on 2 years ago and the company sat in the driveway with a laptop and measured my roof. But he still got up there to do the inspection.

I am not suggesting not doing a site visit but it would be good to get accurate measurements tabulated from aerial photos prior to the visit.

One company is eagleview, I am sure there are others.
