Changing deck belt

My Dixon Ram Mag 50 mower has 160 hrs on it and the deck belt has come off the tensioner pulley twice in the last week. Could the belt need replacing so soon? Do they stretch? There are no visible signs of wear. With the floor off I can see the belt, for lack of a better word, wobbling?

Take the belt off and visually check it for burnt places, cracks & etc. Check the pulleys for something lodged in them such as a gumball or stick.

do this
take all belts off 2 times a season.

turn all the pulleys with your hand you can tell quite easy if it is bad.

Belts will stretch some but usually not so much that the idler tensionor arm can't take up the slack. It's normal for them to wobble and the arm to move around a bit. Make sure that the bolt for it hasn't loosened...where the arm attaches to the deck...I've had that happen before, and that will put the pulley out of alignment. Also make sure that you're greasing the pivot and that the arm moves freely.
