I saw a SenDEC HOUR meter for around $25.

You get what you pay for most times. The Tiny Tach seems to have a good reputation.
Google hour meter tachometer and you'll find no-name units for $15.
Half of my scag hour meter s failed and those are probably $100 or more. Just asking if anybody tried the no name ones.

That'd be me. No problems, yet. The guy has sold ~373 of them and his rating is 99.2%. If they were junk, his numbers would reflect that. Furthermore, there are a bazillion of the same ones on eBay. His just happened to be the cheapest at $15.85, shipped.

Here's the link.

The cheap ones work great. So long as you don't leave it out in the rain and mount it somewhere so that it doesn't get baked by the sun. Was a fan of the tny tachs for years there pretty much all weather but too much for what it is.
