Briggs engine carb kit
Hey guys,
Got a leaf shredder with a newer briggs and straton replacement engine. It 10 hp and it is electric start. Here are the numbers: Model Type. Code 221437 5045 01 9408111A I am looking for an engine carb rebuild kit number. The engine has been sitting for years and the carb is now leaking. Engine runs great though. Thanks for your help.

Go to the B&S website and put your numbers in to get an IPL. It will have the carb kit/s listed/
I was gonna link to it but it was sloow to load. Or punch your numbers in at any of the vendors sites that sponser this forum.

Nice thing about those carbs is there really isn't many soft parts that ever need to be replaced.
If it's leaking fuel you'll probably just need a 394683 Needle (it's rubber tipped). There is the off chance that the float has fuel in it. 692265 Float. Only 2 other parts you might need. 691610 is a washer that goes under the high speed needle jet 692215 is the carb body gasket Before you try to open the carb you'll need to remove the high speed needle assembly from the bottom, then unscrew the main nozzle from the same hole.
