2007 26in Snapper Self propelled

I have a guy with the above mower for sale. I was thinking it would be a good mower for those small fenced in yards. He is asking $250.00. It has 178hours on it. The engine is a 8.25 Briggs. What is your experience with this unit? Any imput would be apprieciated?
Thanks, BR

I've got a couple of them, they were very productive for me early in the business. I didn't think they were made past 05 or so, but perhaps 07 was about the end. It has the same drive as the snapper rear engine rider (rubber drive ring riding on metal disc) and parts are available at any snapper dealer. Cut was fine on bermuda and normal weekly growth and actually nice on fescue. They are not a real fast mower, and will leave stringers on tall grass. I hardly ever take one out since all my accounts can be mowed with my 36 and 44's. I'm using my 21 snapper to bag small pool areas. The drive will hold up fine, but slipping the drive disc on a steep hill will burn through the drive wheel real quick, so if you have steep hills, plan on replacing the drive wheel a couple times a year. I've had two rear drive wheels fail, the welds holding the two halves together are weak and they split in half and are not much use after that. I now mostly use one of mine as a small brush cutter on overgrown lots where I don't want to damage the big mowers.

drive is the same as the 21 -not the rider. its weak enough on the 21 yet alone having to propel a much bigger machine like the 26.
