I don't have it now, but I did own/run a Jonsered 2171 w/24" bar, which is the same saw as the 372. If you know what you're about, and make sure you keep it in the power band, they cut like crazy. Only reason I got rid of mine was to get a new 2186 when they first came out.

I cut with a 372xp, Good saw and no problems. A little heavy but my 257 is nice when I need something smaller.

I have a shindy 757 w/ 32" bar. Its a true beast. Also have a Husky 455 w/ 20" bar, echo CS370 w/ 16" bar, Husky 235 w/ 14" bar, Stihl 260 Pro w/ 20" bar.

The husky 580 and RM 8500 have identical specs, and prices. Pick your poison. As for chainsaws, I had 2 757 shindy's at one point and both were awesome. We use stihl where I work, and they also have been awesome. So just pick out what you like and go with it.
