About an hour and a half. Which is plenty enough for most jobs...Then the spare batteries cost me $15 bucks..

Hated the 30s use to have hs75s or 80s they weigh so much any time you think you saved is lost because you can not continue as long as you could with smaller trimmers. The hs 45s iv had 4 sets 3 of them 24s and one 18 the 18 is for some topiaries. Iv recently added a hs 56 again with the 24 inch bar. You can take it for what its worth but at over 50 pruning jobs a year every year for more then 20 years iv done over 1000 of them now and I am telling you 24 inch is the way to go.

Thanks Kelly's Landscaping! I've been wondering about tiring out with this 30. I do a lot of jobs and many jobs where I'm cutting for an hour or more straight. The trimmers sure get extremely heavy. LOL

I really like the ergos of the Redmax. Hoping to try out this 30 tomo. Figuring it'll take some time to get used to it, and I may not like it then.

Cool that's what I recently bought a set of hs45's 24 inch bar, love it so far, just seemed like the right ones when I was looking for hedge trimmers.

Anybody use an electric with a small generator? I've seen this a few times and though cost is high it really is the way to go if you don't like the weight of a long bar gas powered.

seems like it would drive your cost up, a generator and gas to run the generator? plus the cost of the trimmers themselves?

Yea, there sure is a ton of the 24" er's around. My Redmax set has been pretty amazing. I can slice through tough stuff quick and accurate.

I sharpened all three of my sets since I got this 30" HS80. Gonna give them all a fair comparison. The third set is my pole saw attachement, those are definitely staying.
