Only mod I have on any of my mowers is a tiny tach on the hydrocut lol....I can afford new mowers too, just don't see a point in buying one when I can get a long life out of what I have. My highest hour mower is my wright stander 36" with 395 hours. It's a 2008. Runs great, cuts great. Does what I need.

Unfortunately, the mower suffered a catastrophic failure where both spindles were destroyed and pissed me off. It has been retired from mowing and now has an electric spreader attached to the front. Never buy a mower with timed blades and the timing is coordinated by a freaking rubber belt. The belt suddenly self destructed at about 150 or so hours and destroyed the whole mess. Blades, spindles, blade cradles, the whole nine yards.

That is a wreck waiting to happen. I can not believe that even is a design.
