I'm speaking from experience. Had that happen to me and while the engine ran, that's about all it would do.

Update- I ran the mower yesterday and it ran fine, never skipped a beat. However, I only ran it for about 30 minutes and then loaded it up and went to another yard. Then used it again later and it worked fine. If it was a bad coil wouldn't have acted up during that time or do you think it would have to be run longer and get hotter? I did forget to mention when this initial problem happen I added seafoam to the gas. I am hoping that it was something like water in the gas or bad gas or something.

You mean that it would still have enough power for a 60 inch deck to still cut fine and you couldn't even tell a difference in cut quality. Wouldn't it start harder. You would surely be able to hear that it is not as loud. |

Sounds like your all set then. The motor is gunna get to the highest temp it will usually get in about 15 minutes of full on use.

No you would not have enough power to run a 60in deck. No it wouldnt start harder and no sometimes you cant tell its miss firing until you put it under load.

I forgot to put my spark plug wire back on one side by accident. The thing was rendered undrivable and at full RPM's it sounded like my truck at an idle. It is definitely noticeable before it is under load.
