what size hose and good reel to buy

Ok, I have a landscaping business in MASS for 15 years now. I finally just bought a 2005 Sullair 185. So, my question to you guys is, where the best place to pick up a good hose and hose reel to mount on the compressor for irrigation winterization? Thank you guys in advance!

5/8 hose is plenty. I run 150 ft Goodyear black rubber garden hose never kinks or twists like some others. I just say use 100% rubber as far as a reel I still drag hoses. Do 1500 blowouts and no issues dragging.

You could upgrade from 5/8 garden hose to the 3/4-inch "forever" hose, which is probably polybutylene. If your compressor air is boiling hot, then you might stick with rubber hose.

I have a 50' compressor hose for jackhammering that I use if need more volume. Been using same rubber hoses on my two compressors for a few yrs with no issues so far. But that's Goodyear hose I tried Craftsman one and was no good

5/8" hose on a DC powered Hannay hose reel. 200' of hose with 100 spare on board.

150' of 3/4" heavy duty high temp garden hose mine is red in color. 3/4" reelcraft hose reel that can hold up to 225ft, hand crank with a manual screw lock to keep the hose from unreeling in transit. This will set you back about $350 - $400 new including the hose. Worth every penny.
Garden hose because it's lite, the reel because I hate to hand coil. I've mounted the reel so the hose unreels to the curb. Can pretty much do any standard residental home without need more hose or going up on the driveway. Not fun backing up a compressor when your in a hurry.
