Like I told both of my sons when they were learning if you move the stick and the machine doesn't react to it your turfing. Smooth movements slow down and go practice in some dirt and try to leave complete wheel marks when you turn. It comes in time and with experience you will get it soon.

I like sealcutter's idea. The learning curve with any machine always takes time, but you'll come around with practice. Just practice where it won't cause a problem to any client's property.

"... keep the wheels turning ..." and "... three point turn ..." (or "K" turn) is incompatible. When moving the inside wheel from forward to reverse to execute the "K" turn, what happens with the rotational velocity of the wheel?

Looking at the curve of rotational velocity vs. time, somewhere the curve has to cross the zero line. What does zero rotational velocity mean?

It means it's tearing the turf.
