Hydrostatic problems on Hustler Sport. Please help!!

I'm having problems when I cut a ditch or a slope. I will have my handle bars extended to the appropriate lengths to cut a straight line, and then I will all of a sudden hear a loud whining noise, and it gets louder and louder and I have to slowly pull the more extended bar back towards me slowly, until I'm at a stand-still - I think I'm having problems with one of my hydrostatics. Is anyone familiar with these on the Hustler Sport mowers? It's under warranty, but I have no way of getting it back to the dealer. Could it be low on fluid? How do you change it? How do you not get air in the lines? Any help would be MUCH appreciated!!!

If the machine is still under warranty, Beg-barrow or steal a trailer and take it back to your dealer, If you fool with it you could possibly void your warranty.....

I would hope you checked the fluid level before doing anything. Didn't you?

Rob's on the money--don't screw with it while it's still under warranty--get it to your dealer even if you have to pay the dealer to pick it up. I don't know how all dealers handle that situation but if it's a warranty issue, most dealers will waive the pickup fee.
