You made a comment about common sense about pulling a 8 x 20. I don't know your neighborhood but I can pull that or a buddy has a 8 x24 he pulls through tight streets all day long, if the streets are tight normally the yards are smaller and no need for a 2nd 60"mower on the trailer.

7ft vs 8ft. A 60" deck centered in the trailer (which makes it pull straight) gives 1ft on each for a 7ft width. Add a backpack blower trimmer racks etc that ft is tight to walk around and the 6" makes a difference. For length you will find the extrsa 2ft will let you make a work table or storage for things.

Its easy to say the 8 x 20 is huge but for what you are bringing its the right size. I would actually say the 8 x 20 with a v is ideal.

Here is what I would get if in your shoes or ideal for you. Get a 7'x18' with a 4' V-nose. Also have it speced out with the wheels inside the frame instead of 7' wide plus the wheels making it 8'6' wide. I would also get a 4'6" side ramp on the passenger side and a regular door on the driver side so that you can side load the trailer with a fork lift at a later time. I would also have it speced with 5,200lb axles and a translucent roof. Paint the walls white and the floor gray. Plan on spending $5k-$7K for this and will need a 3/4 or loarger truck. If planning on ever getting a dump truck get a longer tounge. With the wheels inside the trailer body the truck and trailer will be the same width and much easier to handle on skinny roads. This sounds like overkill now but if stay in this business you will grow into it.

Ill put my 2cents in. Normal mowing day I carry a 32" w/b, 46" Lazer Z, 48" walker w/ ghs and a 21" trim mower, plus all kinds of other crap in my 8x18' w/ vnose enclosed. Some days I wish it was a 20 or even a 24fter. Go bigger than u need at the moment.

If you go this route make sure its over 62"s between the inner wheel wells.
