What to do during drought?

I know a lot of you have been having it rough do to the drought. Luckily, its pretty much over here now we have been having a lot of rain almost every day for a good 2 weeks.

Anyway, how do you guys go about getting paid in a drought? I saw a guy who in the "terms of service" said that they will be billed for at least 2 mows a month whether he mows or not. I'm thinking about doing the same thing & was wondering if any of you did this or something similar & how you go about doing it.

For me,it's like my seasonal snowplowing,live or die. I'm per cut and passed on the last 3 wks,so no pay.You need to be able to budget yourself in this business.

I never allowed myself to become complacent in this business. My eggs aren't in the same basket as it is called. During our 3 month drought............similar to last years harsh time in Houston,TX., we have taken a beating. I have targeted irrigation remodeling. Old systems seemed to fail this year with the heat along with compaction. I started switching out older R-50 heads with new up to date models with better performing rain curtain tech. Tweaking the systems to water more until the city placed a watering ban.
We have done Power-washing as this time we can clearly clean concrete and not be tracked with rain afterwards. We have sealed concrete, wood fences, decks, and other projects that the heat and humidity destroys.
