I [I]used[U] to topdress after pulling 2" or better cores. Then the roots started growing too shallow. Now I just fertilize with 6-26-26 counting on the rain to wash the fert into the holes, driving the roots deeper.
Fertilize after aeration and the roots will fill the holes going after the food & water at the bottom.

i did one today, it was somewhere around 10,000 sq. ft. regular walk behind. 2 passes. 3 hours, $120.00 without seed (customer had his own) NEVER AGAIN. it was not out of my way or anything, didn't use much gas. i figured it would take that long.. first pass only took me an hour and some change, dont know what happend after that.. lol. i thought i was making good time and i would finish within 2. anyways, it was a thorough job. won't be that cheap again. i'm thinking i'm going with $10 per 1k per pass.. or they can find the guy that does anylawn for $40 on craigslist. thats where i got that job was on craigslist. never again will i advertise on craigslist.

i used bing maps to measure one online, and it was spot on. had a street view so i can verify it was flat with no obstacles. got there with no suprises. i've used that alot recently for estimates, there is a good thread on here somewheres where somebody posted details on how to measure lawns with bing maps.. search for it.. good stuff..

your not the first person ive heard of doing this, what do you do to get the right size of sq ft per lot roughly. i tryed once and the lot was a lot bigger then it looked on google earth.

Yes,I try and Google map when I can.Every time you can save a trip out your saving 10 bucks in gas now.
