full maintenance account

i have to do an estimate on a full maintenance account for the whole year. Is this how you price it?

Figure out all the things you need to do per month or week or w/e, estimate the hours it will take you in total per month for everything they want regulary done, then multiply it by my hourly rate and thats their monthly bill? i know this will change if they want something bigger done, that would be a separate estimate and separeate bill. But am i at leat on the right track for the billing and estimating for monthly maintenance?

When you say full maintenance, are we talking the whole enchilada? Fert apps, bushes ,aeration, mowing,spring cleanup.What is the customers idea of full maintenance?

yes you are on the right track. And be careful how you estimate the costs for spring and fall cleanups. The first year I do these for a new customer I insert a line into the service agreement that underscores the fact that cleanups are estimated and may be higher or lower depending on the amount of debris that needs to be collectedd. Never had a new customer complaint on the open ended cleanup issue.

Ok thats what i thought, thanks 6'7 330, it is pretty much everything except the fert as i can't do that yet. Ill take a look, take some pics, and maybe post em up to see what you guys think tomarrow night when i go to estimate it as well as a few more in that development i got from that super flyer!! thanks

We do it kind of like that also, we base on 26 weeks of cutting, charge hourly for spring fall cleanups, and offer 10% pre pay if paid by june 1st. any work other than 26 weeks of cutting, aeration, dethatching, overseeding is billed at end of season less 10% if they pre-pay.
