In Louisiana we get a kaleidoscope of weather. One week it's rainy and the next it's 100 degrees or more. So I have learned to take the good with the bad and the bitter with the sweet. You have to manage your money...if you charge $50 bucks to mow a lawn you don't actually make that amount. Consider the cost of doing business. So, work hard, expand your business, keep low overhead, and SAVE.

I agree. It is sometimes hotter than three suns outside and the humidity makes it worse in Louisiana. Couple that with the expenses and the uncertain (cheap) customer and you can become discouraged quickly. So there has to be more than the thought of making money. Altimately you wanna make money, but you have to love what you do as well. If not YOU WILL QUIT at the first sign of trouble. I have seen it many times over the years.
