if you want more work= letter it up
if you dont want more work= dont letter it up

thats the way I look at it

for me, I always have the work trucks lettered up. I just got a call yesterday from a neighbor saying "I saw your truck in my neighborhood" looking for more work. Its cheap advertising.

I dont letter my personal truck/estimate truck

I picked up a new client about a month ago who called because she saw my truck parked at her neighbor's house.
She told me she had seen many others in the area, but didn't trust them because they had nothing on the trucks to identify themselves as legitimate businesses.

I'm not saying that you aren't legitimate if you don't have lettering, just that I found a real world example of a client who saw it that way.

Good equipment, Good insurance and the government's share comes first. I'm only part time and not wasting the money to letter my current truck. The law is clear that I need to have DOT numbers and a business name but I'll put that stuff on when I get my new truck.

Same here. The largest LCO in Tulsa doesn't have a name on any of their stuff and so most LCO don't even know about them.
