Hey Rob it won't let me look at it, says I don't have access. I also dl'd the manual that's the reason for the other post

I think I have the pto figured out. The key switch is bad so he was just plugging and unplugging the main harness from the magneto in and out to run the engine. But in doing this it also kills the power supply to the pto switch on the operator's plate. So I need to fix the switch then it should be good, he just jerry rigged it.

You have the JD manual and still can't figure it out ?

14 hp kawasaki sump gaskets were a problem . not a hard job once the engine and pulleys are removed .Some gaskets were kinked in when made.

I'm going to have to wait on the gasket. I tried to use Permatex but it won't allow the clearance for the crush bearing. I am assuming this because I have it buttoned up and it's to hard to pull start it and it squeals, so I shut it down. I have another motor that's identical I just have to swap the ignition over. Let's hope it's ok I got yards on Wed.
