I might go ahead and try this, I do know that in the fall It is very hard to pick up leaves with this deck. suppose I could always weld them back on if necessary

Could it make anything worse cutting these out? I'm in a real right spot here, the blades I like to run generally do best with the discharge portion of baffle removed. This reduces blowout and gives me a better discharge pattern, but is near impossible to pick up leaves. stripes great this way too. Running the full baffle its almost like the clippings swirl out of the chute and kind of all land in the same area. Running factory blades and full baffle picks up leaves best, but doesn't cut worth a crap and still has some blowout. Wondering if cutting these gussets out and running my favorite scag blades that would help with the blowout when full baffle is in place but still retain the cut quality and striping I'm used to. If its got the potential to make the cut quality worse I'm not sure I wanna do it

kawakx125,

Can't really give a yes or no answer, in the testing that was done the baffles helped improve the cut quality, granted it's hard to test for every possible condition and turf mix scenario. Not sure how much the conditions have changed as the fall transition hits, have you tried the stock blade in your current set up recently?

Best Regards,
Wright Mfg.
