I don't think anyone here looks down on small operations. A lot of us, like myself, are solo with occasional part timers. We look down on scrubbing, low balling, and overall degeneration of the market by such actions. Most of us put in the time elsewhere to learn how to run a landscaping business. I know how to bid my market, and know what's fair for me and the customers. Some stuff I priced too low, that's my bad, some stuff I priced high, and that's a win.
