Equipment trailer
Has anyone ever modified their trailer so deck of the mower doesn't hit the hinges on the ramp.....smaller deck mower isnt a problem it's the bigger mower.
My mechanic guy had an idea to fix it....guess I'll see tomorrow what he had in mind. Just wondered what others have done to fix this problem. |

I have not. I just hold my front wheels up until the rear wheels are about to crest the ramp and then sit the front down. I am only working with a 32" though, not sure how much heavier a bigger mower is to keep up on rear wheels going up.

Yeah I do the same.... It helps but it just seems like they still hang up here and there and get caught on the hinges.....and it drives me crazy. Guess we'll see what the mechanic guy has in mind tomorrow....he's fixed some other trailers so he says.

Mine do it too the exmark weights enough to sort of compress the trailers rear axle down so it doesnt scrape at all but the toro scrapes all the time. I was going to make the tailgate about a foot longer to help out with the pitch of the tailgate. Just an easy simple thought for you guys.

My hustler does it, I think its that my ramp isn't long enough, I priced a longer ramp for 500.00, but its time for a new trailer which I was planning on buy this month due to the other issues I have with it.
