7x14 inclosed trailer ramp capacity

I am looking to purchase a 7x14 inclosed trailer. It will be used for our 54" Exmark Lazer Z that I think is about 1200 pounds + operator = 1400 pounds. One dealer says that the Door ramp is rated to 700 pounds and I would need to beef up the ramp the other says 1000 pounds and it's all good. Any thoughts?

I don't know what it is rated at but I also have been pulling my Z with weights, bagger and my fat a$$ up it for 6 years with no problems. Just make sure you keep your door hinges greased. I heard if they dry up / get cruddy it can cause hinges to fail.
