non contract customers

I don't use contracts for residential work, but all regular residentials expect and receive service from me when I determine the time is right. I'll throw in one-time mows for the next door neighbors and such as time permits, but I don't let it cut into my service to the regulars. If a one-timer's yard is overgrown I might double mow, but no extensive cleanups and no bagging. I let them know the hay will lay there or pass on it. Also I don't get into bigger jobs with people who don't also receive regular service.

Mine are all residential and have no contracts. They want me there every week and they all want their lawns bagged. I do the spring cleanup and th leaves in the fall. I do not fear getting paid by anyone of them and have never had a problem with any of them. I have a good reputation with them and an excellent repore with each and every one of them. They all get charged by the hour for whatever it is I do for them and don't mind me doing more or coming back to do more as my schedule allows.

Like Wally World said would not even take it period! You said it right he will probably only call you when its going to take you 4 times as long . Maybe suggest to him bi-weekly mowing. These people have the same mantality of people who call for plowing "can you come just when I call you", well HELL NO! because the car will be stuck in the drive and they will want you to pull them out (at no charge) and the damn snow will be 2ft deep, and what would have only taken you 10 minutes now takes you 45 minutes. So I say no thanks.

All my home owners don't have no contracts ,,,most of them weekly and some every 10 days ..i had few last season that call me once a month cause there grass was long ,,,,i don't say nothing till i get there and i tell him or her It will cost you more ,,most of the time they will call back in few weeks ,,, :blob3:
