concrete to paver install

I am putting together an estimate for a paver patio and walkway. There is an existing 10'x10' concrete patio which had outdoor carpet glued down. The customer is wanting two estimates, one including demolition and removal of the existing concrete patio and the other being removal of the outdoor carpet and just butting up to the concrete with pavers. My question is what products are out there to remove the glue and also what could I do to improve the appearance of the concrete should she decide to go with that estimate,I'm using a tumbled cobblestone timberwood blend. Any advice or input would be greatly appreciated.

obvyously this concrete is old probably cracked underneath rip up the carpet and use good old acetone it will eat through anything lots of scrubbin though. or you could put a new 2" layer on it. morter and tile looks great. plus you could do a better design flow throughout all of it. how big is the pad. hide it with steps leading up to the door.
