Walkway using patio bricks
I have never done any type of patio or walkway project, but a friend of the family asked if I could make a walkway using dug up 16" x 8" patio bricks from their backyard. The walkway is only going to be about 30' long x 2' wide, no curves or anything. I was told to lay the bricks on 3" of compacted stonedust and that should be fine? Do I need any type of edging or can I do without it? Any feedback would help thanks.

When I think of patio bricks I think of those cinderblock-looking type blocks that are thinner than a cinderblock. I don't know how good they would be as a walkway, but if you are going to do this regardless, I would def. use some sort of edging. I have a feeling that these blocks would seperate from walking on them and from mowing up against them, etc. Just my opinion, hoped this helped.
