Dethatching ... I think?

Hi all. I have a question that I have been disputing with others. Is it thatching or dethatching? Some people say one and others say the other. I have been left confused and don't want to be talking to customers saying the wrong thing. Kind of like the thaw and unthaw, but I know which is right there! Soem people say they are going to unthaw ice and I'm like, ya if you can do that I got a million bucks here for ya! So, which is correct thatching or dethatching?

I concur. Thathching would make the problem worse.
