Grit Guard for 9000

I have the 9000 sharpener but not the grit guard. Can this be added to this unit and where can I get info on how it works. The 9000 is a dynamite sharpener but I would like to contain all the little metal and stone particles. Also, how much does the guard cost.

Hello Lazer46,

Just to clear my confusion - did you purchase the unit used and someone did not provide the grit guard? Because all of our sharpeners "new" come standard with the grit guards.

Yes, you can purchase replacement grit guards. All new MAG-9000 sharpeners come standard with a new VAC GRIT GUARD (not yet pictured on our website) - its replacement cost is $50.00 + UPS ground shipping. Simply call to order (800-328-1110).

Thank you,

I purchased the unit new and yes, I have a grit guard. I am interested in the vac grit guard but would like to see a picture of it and an explanation of just how it works.

Hello,

I will try and get photos this week and the update on the site, so that you can see the change in the design.

Thank you,
