drainage pitch

I'm Installing pavers around an inground pool. The pool is 10 feet away from wooden stairs that go up to a deck. What is the maximum pitch you would use from the pool to the deck without it looking like a ramp. Thanks

I use 1" per 8 foot or 1/8 inch pitch per 1/4 " run.

The max I would go would be 3 percent, however, I prefer to go with less. It depends on what you have going on around the pool. This pool deck has about a 1.5 percent slope from the pool and a 1.0 percent from the step creating a swail. Half the water will go North and the other half will go South.
