Ferris IS 3000ZX

Travis will be happy to hear, I went with a Ferris IS3000ZX 27HP and 60" deck. I have to admit that it cuts very nicely and I couldn't be happier with the suspension. I do not have any experience with other ZTRs (other than 5 minute demos) but I will say that I never need to slow down when mowing. Bumps really have no effect on the operator.

Also, I cut about an acre of our 8 acre hay field. (The field missed its last cut last year.) With the grass about a foot high and the scrub from last year still there, I was able to go full speed through it at 4" mower deck height. Amazing.

Thanks for all the input from everyone. In the end, it was $8900 but well worth buying over the John Deere and Lesco models despite the price.

Your back will appreciate the suspension that the Ferris has!
