Should I wait on the Stihl BR 600 blower?

I returned the BR 550 as it was as others said it was--substandard, regardless of my attempts to justify its, before I go out and buy the EBZ 8000 from Redmax, should I at least wait for the BR 600 due out next month around the 15th?...I may not like the BR 550, but I sure like the design and the AV system on it...I like the way the choke lever is and the rounded design...the fuel tank needs to be bigger as it uses about the same as the 8000...I called Redmax and they told me 63 oz per hour fuel use...that is about what the 550 uses, but with a smaller fuel tank...I like the anti-static conductor wire inside the tube of the 550...think I could make one for the 8000 inside the tube...the 600 is supposed to have 1078 without the tube...wonder what the tube will have...this is in the instruction manual of the 500,550, and 600...if it has 1078 at the housing, will the tube reflect a great deal also?...and what about the 4 mix technology...the blower bogged down and had poor response at the throttle...its exhaust smelled weird compared to the 4 mix--wonder why? could barely blow pine cones and pulled weeds in the grass without you putting the tube right up on, when I demoed the 8000, my goodness--hurricane time...

Do you have a blower to get you by if you wait? I seriously doubt the 600 will compare with the 8000, will it even compare to a 7001? I have a 7000 RH and it is as reliable as the day is long. When I need more power I will go with RedMax again because RedMax is a proven workhorse that all they other manufactures are trying to match or beat, not the other way around. I think you can get the 8000 for around 479.00 =/- how much is the Stihl? But if you have a good Stihl dealer that takes care of you with out gouging you, it doesnít hurt to return the favor.
Be Honest and Trustworthy and give thanks for all you have. Life is good.

dcplace, wait ! You clearly like Stihl and it's unlikely you'll be happy with anything else regardless. JMO

well i dno, had a 420c stolen last winter so i bought the 550 cuz it was same price as the 420...
It's ok, I mean I like the 4-cycle, it has good power, and it's all standard and crap is all like a 420 for the same price it's like an upgrade for free, I'm happy.

No I am not that impressed with it, either, but the throttle and 1/3, 2/3, 3/3 cruise-control and the always-on switch is ok (except if you accidentally kick it off during ops it always dies, the old 420 you could quickly turn it back on and it would run on).

o'well, for 400 bux it's a nice blower.

Not necessarily...If the 8000 is the better machine than the 600, then I will get the 8000...if the 600 is better than the 8000--probably unlikely--then I will get the 600...I am a 1 man crew for now and want the best blower, and will have to make due with the little handheld blower I have, which is a terrible blower...

What "chuckers" said.

Not got that much power until the thing has several tanks of gas ran through it.

I have only experienced Stihl blowers. Redmax maybe a better blower...?

Iv run nothing but Stihl forever. I just bought the new 8000 and like the wind it puts out. But what I don't like is that theres a lot of stuff exposed. The gas lines going from the tank to the carb are out in the open. The carb is out in the open. The wires leading up to the cut off switch are out in the open and look like after thoughts. Like they almost said woops, we forgot the cut off switch and wires lets stick them here.
I backed up into a branch the other day wile blowing and it closed the throttle.

The Stihls are all enclosed. All the delicate stuff on the engine is properly enclosed.

If it weren't for the massive wind that the 8000 puts out. I would have bought another Stihl. They just seem to be better thought out or engineered.
