I would like to have attended a build a pond day, because nothing beats hands on training. There were a lot of things that I had to redo because of my inexperience. May be you could contact a local builder and volunteer to be a helper on a few installs, maybe even offer to pay, that would be invaluable. |

Howdy Qualpro-
Here is some pics of the pondless waterfall we did. It really turned out cool, the homeowner wanted us to cut out the side of the biofalls for a second waterfall. Oh, I love the true texas patio!!!! :blob3:

fishinman I liked your pondless falls. I am thinking about doing one for my in-laws. They have a load of fossil rock limestone, that we hauled in from Crawford, that they don't know what to do with.
So... did you cut the side out of the biofalls or did you split the flow with the rocks? |

Actually I am self-employed working on computer networks. Business is slow and I am thinking about starting a second business doing general landscaping and maintenance. I have most of the equipment, enjoy the work, and most people like the way I keep my three acre yard. But I do have a lot to learn... understatement

I would suggest a bottom drain on ALL ponds, and minimal rocl/gravel in the pond. Makes next year alot more enjoyable.

n2h20--Bottom drains are not really necessary with aquascape ponds and other ponds... When you create the shelves in the pond and rock it and gravel the pond thats what creates a lot of filtration plus not to mention a properly working skimmer. Just my opinion
