School Bid

Well this is a School I been doing for last 3 years.
This year I got knock out by half of my price. I know nothing is forever.
I know how many man hours it takes me to do the job.

Today the new company started the job and they work atleast 10 hrs with 4 guys 2 60'' mowers and 2 trimmers and they did not finish it today.

In the bid they want it mowed and trimmed in 1 day requested by the School
I know one thing they drop. You had to have right equipment to do the job 2 60'' mowers isn't the right equipment for this job.

Wonder since they are so cheap the school wont even worry about 1 day rule. and the equipment rule

From what I seen what they did today. They have 1 more full day of mowing and trimming.

I think its kinda funny. We will see how long this will last.

There was only 2 bids and the company won it isn't even from here.
No body else from my town wanted it. I ask cpl companies, They both said way to much trimming for them.

((((Lets hear what you would mow and trim this and I know my area isn't the same as you area But I would like hear anyway)))))))

I lost this one but gained 2 more big jobs same money So this wasn't a big lost for me. It opened my weekends back up for other things or do more family time

Ouch. He can't meet that up. Now add taxes and depreciation of mowers and equipment. He's losing

Sounds like he will more then likely stop showing up once he finds out it was grossly under bid. You'll get it back I'm sure. Just make sure you have the time to do it if you already replaced the work load.

When they call you up add 30% to your original bid. Explain to them you replaced them and would require you to pay overtime to employees.

Lying will get you no where fast. They don't care and it's not their problem if a company is over loaded with work and has to pay OT to employee's.

Also, why charge 30% more? All you'll do is force them to keep looking and sealing the deal to NEVER get the job again.
