Fertilizer/Pesticide Apps. in Mass

How did you all get into this field? It seems rather lucrative, and I would like to venture into it, but how do I obtain a license for it, do I even need one?

In Ma. you need a license, we just got ours fews weeks ago. If you dont have the license, and get caught applying weed control or pesticide, the fines are heavy! You can get info on the test dates, and locations via the internet.

In CT a permit is required when applying "pesticides". Members from CT, does "organic" weed pre-emergents fall into this catagory? Also, do natural grub controls, such as milky spore fall into this catagory?
