Clippers,

I got my website through Global Domains International.
For $10.00 month (You get a 7 day free trial) you get your own domain name
ex. www.yourname.ws and you get 10 emails with it ex. contactme@yourname.ws.

They host it for you. You can build your site with their templates, which is what I am doing. I found this to be the east way for now. Or you can upload your site to your domain.

Go to www.website.ws/roadtoriches for more info.

Hope that helps

Yahoo, $11.95 a month....built it myself. Nothing overly flashy.....just informative.

if you go with a non-.com domain name, you've already started off on the wrong marketing foot. there should really be no scenario in which you should stray from the .com names, and the .net extension should be a last resort.

nothing worse than trying to tell a potential customer that they should check out your site at whatever.tv or some such. the first response will be ".what ?" and then the likely attempt to visit will be met with failure due to their reflexive action to type .com on the end. it's more than likely going to be your only 24/365 marketing tool so there's really no reason to start your 'net marketing off in the hole.

Tonygreek is correct.

Things to avoid:
-Anything but a .com name
-Never a "slash" name (Example: www.freewebs.com/yourname)
-Long names (Example: www.JoeSmoesLawnMaintenance.Com)

Making a website is pretty easy. Search the internet for "HTML HELP" and costumize a Gopher template.
