Consider your time driving out there, your expertise, the truck insurance, gas, ect. It costs us $30 just to stop a truck at someone's house. Then we do the work. We'd charge the $30 plus the cost of materials and our man hour goal of $80 per man hour. So if you are on the lawn for 30 minutes, we'd recommend $30 (trip) plus $40 (labor), plus the cost of the fertilizer(probably about $10). This may sound high if you are just starting out and trying to get some customers. When we first starte our overhead was lower, and yours may be too. Maybe you can stop a truck for $12, or maybe it's a property that is right next to another one you are doing. Here's what we did. We called all or our competitors and asked them to come and quote my lawn (and a few other selected lawns that we arrange with our clients).

$37.50 for the first 5,000 an additional $3.00 per 1,000 after that. That price would be for a basic app. Fert & Herbie. Insecticides and fungicides are priced on a different scale
