would appreciate some advice

just wondering which blades would work better for my. scag wildcat with 61 deck for leaf pickup. leaves are not terribly heavy. I have mulching blades or the standard blades that came with the mower. also, should i leave the height adjustment where i normally do at 2.5 inches or raise it up for leaf pickup i have a 6.2 accelerator thanks

A couple of suggestions for leaf cleanup. As far as blade configuration, if you can get by with mulchers and still pack the bag full, that would be best (the size of the cut up leaves would be less, so you would have fewer trips to empty the bagger). If you don't get a tight pack with all mulchers, try switching the blade closest to the bagger to a high lift (leave the other two as mulchers). Also, if the leaves are really heavy, mow over them once before putting the bagger on. Some people let the bag fill and basically use it as a mulching plate for the first pass. I would leave your cutting height at it's regular level.
