The local tractor supply co. informed me that they will no longer carry the liquid concentrate in 1 gallon jugs just 2.5 and 5 gallon jugs now and I was wondering what the shelf life is? I only use around a gallon of the concentrate a year at the most and I do not want to buy a large jug and have it be no good next season

It lasts a long time (years?). Make sure that you store it in a cool place out of direct sun and you should have no problems.
I have used 2-4-D that was frozen as well, and it still worked. Alan |

FROZEN? don't go there man, try to buy enough to use in a season and don't use stuf that has been frozen. at 38-30 bucks for a 2.5 gallon, how can you not buy enough to get you through the year. Step up and get some tri-mec anyway, not just plain old 2-4-d. Dave g

Come on Dave, I am not reccomending that you go out and freeze your 2-4-D!!!! What I said was that it could still be used, if you happened to have left it somewhere that it could have been frozen, instead of moving it into a heated storage area like you (me!) should have.
Plow Kid is not worried about not having enough for the season, he is worried about having TOO much for the season. Alan |
