What was your first work vehicle?

ok, what was your first vehicle you used for lawn care. i'm thinking of starting next year and have nothing but a minivan and an escort wagon at my disposal. so, give me hope (someone) that i can do it with those.

Lawncare evolved from handyman work so all we had was vans. They were all full size. I sent a crew out today with a van. If all you ever do is cut grass it will work but it is a pain to put mulch in a van--and even harder to get it out.

Escort will not work so well

Then a few months later I bought a 1994 Ford f150 4x4.... then 6 months later and after spending over $6,000 on repairs for the ford I bought a 2001 Chevy 2500HD 4x4 with an 8ft plow.

I started mowing lawns back in "82" with a 1972 F100 2wd/ 3 on the tree. (manual shift on the column). I loved that truck.

A ugly, rusty, smoking, pos 88 caravan. And it looked good compared to my trailor and mower The "SC__" word would have been an improvement for me at that time but was the best I could do. Funny though I had a lot more biz back then than now, guess folks figured I would be cheap when they saw me.
