Aeration Timing

I'm going to buy a zplug machine this year, probably with the additional spreader mounted for easy overseeding and easy increased income. I know that in the past the primary time to aerate has always been done in the fall. How many of you all push aeration in the spring?

Only time we will aerate in the spring is when heavy overseeding is done right after it. Spring aerating can lead to weed infestation IMO.
